James "Bobby" Windsor

James Robert “Bobby” Windsor, age 71, passed away July 9, 2018. He was born on October 30, 1946 in Surry County to the late Robert and Barbara Windsor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Windsor. He is survived by Kathy G. Windsor; son Layne Windsor (Chelley) of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren Brady and Avery Windsor. Mr. Windsor was employed by Rexam Beverage Co. in Winston Salem for 29 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mr. Windsor was a former Mayor of the Town of Arlington and he was an avid sportsman. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Greg Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Grassy Creek UMC Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service.
