James Robert Wright

James Robert Wright, 83, passed away Saturday April 7, 2018. He was born April 27, 1934 to the late Clyde Robert Wright and Willie Elizabeth Woodruff Wright. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mr. Wright served in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Elizabeth Johnson Wright; a brother Joseph Wright. Surviving are three daughters, Sabrina (Steve) Gregory, Shawn Harris, Nicole Melton; grandchildren Jeremiah (Erin) Gregory, Sarah Dulin, Luke Harris; great grandchildren Elizabeth Gregory, Samantha Gregory, Madelyn Gregory. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday April 8, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday April 9, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church by Rev. Claudia Harrelson and Rev. Tim Tucker. Burial will follow at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to a very special friend Anette Kerley and the staff of mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mr. Wright.
