Janet Pruitt

Janet Crotts Pruitt, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Janet was born on November 11, 1938, in Forsyth County to the late John Crotts and Mary Crotts.

Janet found joy in her gardening and flowers. She loved all animals, especially horses, and wanted to care for any animal that she came across. Janet deeply loved her family and enjoyed any time she spent with her grandson.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Boyd Gray Pruitt, brothers, Jeffrey Crotts, Johnny Crotts, Jimmy Crotts and sister, Jackie Goins.

Those left to cherish Janet’s memory include her son, Brook Pruitt, wife Sandy, and her beloved grandson, Logan Pruitt.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Services in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jonathan Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Jante’s caregivers who cared for her like their own family over the past few years; Sharon, Destiny, Christie, Deborah, Sharon R.
