Janice Harris Collins

Janice Harris Collins, 76, of Yadkinville, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Janice was born on March 13, 1942 to the late Thurmond and Della Scott Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jan Elizabeth.  She is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Collins; children, Jeff (Sunni Lynn) Collins; Cathy (Ronnie) Covey; grandchildren, who were the joy and love of her life, Davis and Kara Collins; Cody and Billy Covey.  Sisters, Daphnia Martin of Jonesville, Wanda Pederson of Edmonds, WA. A brother, Mack (Mary) Harris of High Point. Janice felt so blessed with five nephews and four nieces, several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Jonesville, Dr. Roger Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday February 9, 2019 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jonesville, Baptist Men, 134 Winston Road, Jonesville, NC 28462 and the family would like to give a heart felt Thank You to the Yadkin County EMS and Yadkinville Fire Department for the care and respect they showed Mrs. Collins and the family.
