Jason Scott Driver

Mr. Jason Scott Driver, 62, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born January 26, 1960 in Yadkin County to the late Jack and Joyce Driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Henderson Driver and a sister, Jackie D. Edwards. Jason was a hard worker, and was always helping others. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical, building things, farming, and he was an avid fisherman. Jason retired from Yadkin Valley Telephone and he also worked with Nixon’s Grading. Mr. Driver is survived by his children, Jacob Driver (Kaitlen Gryder), and Elisabeth Driver; granddaughter, Harper Driver; sister Tammy D. Reavis (Larry); the mother of his children, Dawn Macemore Driver; numerous nieces and nephews; fishing brother and friend, Lorne Temple. The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service, Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:30 PM till 6:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 7:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel. As Jason was a down to earth guy, his request for everyone attending the Celebration of Life, wear blue jeans/casual dress or come as you are. The family would like to give a special thank you to, Dr. Demetria Jacks at Novant Health Cancer Center and her staff, and also the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice and the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care shown to Jason. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice of Yadkin County, 243 N.
