Jeffery David Key

Boonville Mr. Jeffery David Key, 39, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 14, 2017. Jeffery was born December 22, 1977 in Forsyth County to Hillery and Ruby Matthews Key. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and flying RC airplanes. In addition to this father, Jeffery was preceded in death by his grandparents, Crater and Dorothy Matthews and Sebron and Maggie Key; and an aunt, Nancy Tucker. He is survived by his mother; a sister, Jennifer & husband James; an aunt, Betty (Van) Reavis; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; and a special “brother”, Samuel (Michelle) Brown. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Monday, April 17, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel with Dr. Allen Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Renee Hutchins, Yadkin County Fire, EMS and Rescue Squad, and to the Lewisville Dive Team for their quick response and assistance.
