Jeffrey Allen Stanley

It is with great sadness that we share that Jeffrey Allen Stanley, 59, passed from this life unexpectedly at his home, August 31, 2023.  Jeff was born the son of Judy Brooks Stanley (Hill) and Bruce Stanley in Yadkinville, NC on August 20, 1964.  Jeff graduated from Starmount High School in 1982. 

Jeff was always the life of the party and made everyone feel special.  He met no strangers and had a heart for people around him. Jeff had a long and prosperous career in the Hospitality Industry using his talents and personality at his full potential.  Jeff was a kind, generous, and loving individual who always had extended arms to welcome you into his presence and home.  You never left his home hungry or without having had a good time.  He truly will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.  

After almost 30 years together, Jeff leaves behind his husband, Mark Edwin Hill-Stanley, with a heart full of love and memories that will no doubt sustain him in the days to come.   Jeff also leaves behind a brother, Keith (Lynn) Stanley of Yadkinville, a nephew Kenny (Anna) Stanley of Clemmons, NC, a niece Jessica Stanley of Charlotte, NC, grandnieces Emmy and MJ of Clemmons, NC ; close family members, Dianne (Lynn) Hayden, Maryann Stanley, Sharon (Billy) Brown, Sheila (Michael) Weathers, Heather (Josh) Johnson, Michael (Kim) Hayden, Michelle Hewitt and Tiffany Crabb along with Mother-in-Law, K Elaine Hill of Banner Elk, NC, brothers-in-law, Kenny Hill-Wright (Butch) of Nashville, Tn., Jimmy Hill (John Adams III) of Raleigh, NC., nephew Landy Hussong-Wright of Nashville, Tn., as well as his I.T. Family and countless friends. He also leaves behind his cherished fur babies Rufus, Gracie, Truvy, Max, Stella and Beau.   Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Maternal Grandparents Daisy and Hugh Brooks, and Paternal Grandparents Kenny and Hessie Stanley, as well as Father-in-law, Gerald B Hill.  

We will gather for a visitation from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service, 5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 pm, Saturday at the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1900 Asbury Church Road, Hamptonville, NC 27020.   In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Human Rights Campaign at www.hrc.org in Jeff’s memory.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Stanley family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com
