Jesse Paul Brown

Jesse “Paul” Brown, age 79, passed away October 17, 2019. He was born June 23, 1940 in Surry County to the late Fredrick and Rosie Brown. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Cecil Brown, Clarence Brown, David Brown and Kenneth Brown. He was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church. Mr. Brown was married to Peggy Carlton Brown. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and he served in the United States Army. He is survived by his children Timothy Paul Brown (Karen), Freddy Brown, Paula Brown; grandchildren Jacob Brown, Kristin Kennedy (Charlie), Lauren Brown, Zack Westmoreland, Sara Westmoreland, James Westmoreland; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Lillie Brown; brother Young “Tink” Jester. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Island Ford Baptist Church. His funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Dr. Charlie Kennedy and Rev. Ronnie Wooten officiating.
