Jessie Wayne Marshall

Elkin Mr. Jessie “Wayne” Marshall, 79, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home. Mr. Marshall was born August 6, 1941 in Surry County to John Everette and Pauline Hayes Marshall. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanettie Layell. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, “Jessie” Ruth Jones Marshall; a son, Jonathan (Tonya) Marshall; grandchildren, Summer Marshall, John Marshall; a step granddaughter, Kayla (Brad) Smith; great grandchildren, Raelyn Marshall, Allison Smith, Mia Smith, and Abigail Renegar; a sister, Janice Marshall; and two brothers, Warren and Wade Marshall. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Little Richmond Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Jones and Rev. JV Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Marshall will be available for public viewing Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Marshall family.
