East Bend – Jimmie Lee Angel, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. He was born October 24, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Vivan Leak Angel and Ethel Kallam Angel. Jimmie enjoyed the outdoors, especially playing golf, fishing, and riding motorcycles. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, watching them playing sports and just spending time with family was always a priority. He was a charter member of Northwood Baptist Church, he also led the choir, a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and a soldier for the Lord. Surviving are is wife, Barbara Matthews Angel; sons, Reggie (Alesia) Angel, Rex (Karen) Angel; grandchildren, Stephanie (Shane) Cook, Hannah (Andrew) Jackson, Lauren (Chris) Martin, Tim (Amy) Angel, Cody (Janet) Angel; great grandchildren, Brianna (Zack) Farrell, Grace Priest, Garrison Cook, Haedyn Priest, Isabelle Martin, Ethan Jackson, Sarah Cook, Aubree Angel, Blake Jackson, Avery Angel; great great grandchild, Ella Farrell; brothers, Gary (Jane) Angel, Dale Angel; a special brother in Christ, Dr. Joe Arthur; and several other family members. His funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Northwood Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Webb, Dr. Hubert Wishon, and Dr. Allen Barker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
