Jimmy Ray Holcomb

Jimmy Ray Holcomb, 85, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was born in Alleghany County on March 25, 1933 to the late Raymond and Margie Tilley Holcomb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marinda Triplett, Kathy Winters; two brothers Raymond Holcomb Jr., Jerry Wayne Holcomb. Mr. Holcomb was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister Alma Jean Minton; brother Bonson (Marie) Holcomb; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Gentry Funeral Chapel, Jonesville with Rev. Brandon Felts and Rev. Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at the Roaring Gap Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice and special niece Marissa Collins for the exceptional care given to Jimmy.
