Jimmy Braddock Parks

Mr. Jimmy Braddock Parks, 85, of Courtney community, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Willowbrook Nursing center. He was born in Yadkin county on May 29, 1935; son of the late Ellis Parks and Mallie Marsh Parks he is also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen and three brothers, Jack, Fred and Larry. Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Geoff) Shimmeck and a son, Stacey (Kelli) Parks, five grandchildren, Jimmy, Justin, Britny, Ryan and Austin, seven great grandchildren, Bri, Grace, Leland, Sophie, Adelyn, Holden and MaKaila. also, five sisters; Jean, Carol, Sue, Mary and Faye. Jimmy loved working and selling antiques and enjoyed going to the Flea Market. The family would like to thank Willowbrook for all of their loving and caring ways they showed Jimmy and a special thanks to Jeanette Turner for her personal time she spent with him. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
