Jimmy Lee "Johnny" Revels

Jimmy Lee “Johnny” Revels, 74, passed away Thursday February 4, 2021. He was born January 13, 1947 in Davie County to the late William Leroy Revels and Annie Mae Turner Revels. He was a lifelong member of Davie County in the Chinquapin Community. He was employed at J. M. McKnight and sons for many years then retired from Sheffield Lumber Company. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Catherine Gentry, Mary Lou Hampton; two brothers Clarence Revels, John Edward Revels. Surviving are his children Jimmy D. Revels; Tammy Revels (Barron) Carr; grandchildren Bryanna Carr, Brennan Carr, Darrell Grayson Revels; three brothers William (Eunice) Revels, Jr., Ralph Revels, Frank Revels; a host of nieces and nephews; the mother of his children Mary Revels. A public viewing for Mr. Revels from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Sunday February 7, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday February 7, 2021 at the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. James Gentry and Rev. Johnny Scott. Burial will follow at the Chinquapin Cemetery.
