Joanette Johnson Francisco

Yadkinville Mrs. Joanette Johnson Francisco, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at SECU Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Francisco was born June 15, 1941 in Surry County. She enjoyed traveling, and cooking; always having an extra plate at the table. Mrs. Francisco was preceded in death by her mother, Ida knight; her husband, John Lewis Francisco; two brothers, Jacob and John Johnson; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Hutchens Francisco. She is survived by two children, Darla (Robert) May and James Francisco; step children, Joyce Dunn and Barbara Dickenson; a granddaughter, Amanda Comer; step grandchildren, Robin Lloyd, Christy Poteat, Amy Hunt-Russell, Karen Harris, and Danny Thompson; and two great grandchildren, Destiny and Journey Starbuck; step great grandchildren, Tyler Price, Cassy Tatum, Jordan Hunt, George Poteat, Robert and Pricilla Ellingtonn Wendy Newcomb, and David Thompson; a step great-great grandchild, Isabella Tatum; and many other special family members. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Don Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
