Joann Long Kochman

JoAnn Long Kochman, 85, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born April 19, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Eugene Gladson Long and Geneva Amanda Tucker Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Kochman, her sister, Betty Gene Long, and an infant brother, Dwight Long. She is survived by her brother Bill (Vickie) Long; nieces, Andrea York and Lori (Khammone) Pianpanya; nephew, Brett Long; great nephew, David (Tracy) Vestal; great nieces, Taylor (Clint) York, Erin (Mason) Horst, Madelyn and Camille Pianpanya; great-great nephew, Dash Foster and great-great niece, Carson Vestal. Mrs. Kochman was very active in her community. She enjoyed her visits to New Horizon Adult Day Services and helping those in need. She had an incredibly giving heart, enjoyed having people in her home and always had a smile on her face. A memorial service will be held at Longtown Cemetery on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM. The family would like to thank JoAnn’s caretaker, Renea Gray and the Hospice Nurses for the loving care given to JoAnn.
