Mocksville - Mrs. JoAnn Livengood Renegar, 82, of the Turkey Foot Community, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Renegar was born April 19, 1939 in Yadkin County to Jesse and Laura Wilkins Livengood. She was a member of Hanes Grove United Methodist Church. Mrs. Renegar enjoyed mowing the yard, watching Duke basketball, and bluegrass music, but her favorite was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great mother, grandmother, and she adored each one of her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Renegar was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lloyd Renegar; brothers, Roy Livengood, Arthur Lee Livengood; and Ray Livengood; and brothers-in-law, Dan “Hamp” Hampton, Thomas Reavis, and Edward “Eb” Holder. She is survived by two children, Jodi Renegar and Lloyd “GG” Renegar; grandchildren, JoAnnah Pierce (Justin), Sam Davis, Sydnee Davis, Cody Davis, and Shelby Estes; great grandchild, Zeke “Snootie” Stevenson; sisters, Bonnie Hampton, Doris “Sis” Holder and Jean Reavis; brothers, Donnie (Pam) Livengood and Ed (Louise) Livengood; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Livengood and Sue Livengood; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. David Kiser officiating. Burial will follow at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Friday evening at the Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Iredell – Rainbow Kids 2347 Simonton Road Statesville, NC 28625.
