Joe Bill Wagoner, 83, passed away Monday February 20, 2023. He was born August 10, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late John Henry Wagoner and Maggie Elizabeth Adams Wagoner. He enjoyed lawnmower pulling and dirt track racing. Joe was an ordained minister. He loved the Lord and enjoyed spreading the gospel with everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family, especially his four great granddaughters and his twin brother Jack. He had a contagious smile that would light up any room and he never met a stranger. Mr. Wagoner was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 58 years Mary Bell Roberts Wagoner, infant brother Phillip Wagoner. Surviving are his children Grayland (Kathy) Wagoner, Billy (Marlene) Wagoner, Libby (Preston) Harrison; grandchildren Kara (Lewis) Furr, April (Andy) Hembree, Kaitlyn Wagoner; great grandchildren Brooklynn Hembree, Charlotte Hembree, Hadley Furr, Harper Furr; sisters Lois Vestal, Martha (Richard) Macemore; brothers Jack (Joann) Wagoner, Frank (Carolene) Wagoner. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday February 23, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Pastor Herb Tuten. Burial will follow at Gospel Chapel Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wagoner family.
