Joseph "Joey" Martin Groce

Yadkinville Joseph Martin “Joey” Groce, 52, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born July 8, 1965 in Surry County to Billy Ray “Bill” Groce and Sandra Kay Vestal Groce. He is preceded in death by his mother; grandparents Bob and Jo Vestal, Burley and Lola Groce. Mr. Groce is survived by his father; sister Tracy Groce Anglin; niece’s Alexandra Adaire “Allie” Anglin, Madeline Kate “Maddie” Anglin, Aubrey Paige “Aub” Weaver; aunt Cheryl Bledsoe; and many special cousins and friends. He was formerly employed by Carl Rose & Sons for 25 years before becoming the proud owner/operator of Yadkin Valley Express, which was his lifelong dream. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Swaim's Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM prior to the service.
