Weatherman Tobaccoville- Mr. John Dee “J.D” Weatherman, 82, of Spainhour Mill Road passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born November 19, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Henry Clay and Gertie Cook Weatherman. Mr. Weatherman was retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. He loved being an avid beekeeper, was president of the Forsyth County Beekeepers Association, and enjoyed making his presentation to school children of all ages about the world of beekeeping. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Weatherman. Surviving are his son, Michael (Pat) Weatherman; grandchildren, John (Kelsey) Weatherman, Dereck (Emma) Weatherman; and a brother, Clay (Linda) Weatherman. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 PM Saturday at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. Scott Bishop. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Woltz Hospice Home for all their loving care and support given to Mr. Weatherman.
