Mrs. Johnnie Sue Key Fletcher, 72, of East Bend passed away peacefully Friday, September 8, 2023 at Mtn. Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, Yadkinville office. She was born June 27, 1951 in Surry County to the late Allen and Ada Smith Key. Mrs. Fletcher was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a loving husband, Jerry Fletcher; a brother, Alton Key; and a sister, Bernice Bullin. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband of 5 years, James “Jim” Williams of East Bend; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mandy Hall of Mt. Airy; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Gary Kendrick of Bassett VA; 6 grandchildren, Jackie (Matt) Coe, Preston Hall, Bethanee Hall, Bailey Plaster, Cody Plaster, and Jonathon Kendrick; great-granddaughter, Harper Coe; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Dwight Kendricks of Pinnacle. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Ray Hutson, and Pastor Robert Collins officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn.
