Johnny Harold Bunton

HARMONY-  Mr. Johnny Harold Bunton, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  He was born June 8, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Manley and Verlie Wallace Bunton.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Bunton; 2 sisters, Pansy Wood, Reba Russell; and a brother, James Robert Bunton.  Mr. Bunton was a truck driver for over 50 years, was a member of Windsors Crossroads Ruritan Club, attended Redemption Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the US Army.  Surviving are his children, Robbin Shores, James Robert Bunton and wife, Angie, and Manley Bunton; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Elsie Souther; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charlotte Parsons, Jayda, Hannah, and Alyssa.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Hunting Creek Friends Meeting.  Mr. Bunton will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and the NC National Guard.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
