Johnson Hall "Sandy" Harris

Yadkinville – Johnson Hall “Sandy” Harris, 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Sandy was born on January 23, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Nathan and Nora Osborne Harris. Coming from humble beginnings, he served in the Korean War as a military policeman. He returned from his service to marry the love of his life, Pearl Elizabeth Mize Harris. During his 63 years with Pearl, he loved his family of two sons and a daughter, Bill (Lynne) Harris, David Harris, and Patty (Andy) Wilson. He adored his four grandchildren, Lauren (Zach) Cannon, Dustin (Crystal) Wilson, Nathan (Shauna) Harris, and Emily (Trevor) Flynn; five great grandchildren, Mackenzie Cannon, Beau Cannon, Lucas Wilson, Maddox Wilson, and Sophie Harris. Sandy was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved his Sunday School Class and church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl in 2019, as well as his siblings. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Joel Riley. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rights by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
