Joseph Henry Mullis

Mr. Joseph Henry Mullis, 78, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. Mr. Mullis was born in Yadkin County on July 1, 1939 to the late Benjamin Kimbol Mullis and Lilly Mae Tulbert Mullis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters: Virginia Mullis, Lois Medvetz, and Mildred Caudle; three brothers: Ben Mullis, Edward Mullis, and Roger Mullis. Mr. Mullis is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Mary Lou Wilkins Mullis; children: Tina (Lee) Caudle, Teresa (Luke) Eddleman, Susanne (Junior) Wiles, Rebecca (Harold) Caudle, Jody (Becky) Mullis, and David (Anita) Mullis; sister Betty Couch; brother Gray Mullis; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Upon his profession of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, Joseph has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior. The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Hospital for their great care they gave to Mr. Mullis. His funeral service will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Northwood Baptist Church; burial will follow in the church cemetery.
