Joseph Marion Wooten

Wooten East Bend-Mr. Joseph Marion Wooten, 80, of East Bend, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021. He was born in Yadkin County on February 14, 1941 to Roy Chester and Susie Matthews Wooten. Mr. Wooten was involved in the Yadkin Arts Council, Yadkin County Historical Society and he was a charter member of the East Bend Jaycees. Mr. Wooten was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed photography. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Wooten is survived by many cousins. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 3:00PM at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Marty Wood officiating. A public viewing will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 1:00PM-5:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend.
