Josephine Boyd Norman

Norman Dobson-Josephine Boyd Norman, 96, of Dobson, Nc, passed away peacefully Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born in Surry County on February 3, 1924 to Joe and Sarah Doss Boyd. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Siloam. Mrs. Norman was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She loved her quilting and canning. Most of all, she really enjoyed dipping snuff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Norman; nine brothers; and four sisters. Surviving are her sons, Joe (Linda) Norman of East Bend and Donald Norman of Salisbury; her grandchildren, LeAnn Norman of East Bend, Michael (Emily) Norman of Yadkinville, and Kelli Norman of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Isaac Norman and Liam Norman of Yadkinville, and Gavin Honeysuckle and Jaxson Pruitt of Salisbury; two sisters, Bonnie (Jimmy) Blackmon and Judy (Henry) Grantt both of Sanford; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Norman will be available for public viewing on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:00PM at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend with Rev. Brian Poindexter and Rev. Danny Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Yadkin Nursing Center, 903 W. Main Street, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
