Josephine Blalock Holcomb Burch

Jonesville Josephine Blalock Holcomb Burch united with the Lord on May 28, 2017 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Lula Holcomb and her sons Stephen Patrick Burch and Paul Burch. She is survived by her granddaughter Scout Burch. Josephine was born on October 4, 1940 in Surry County. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School, beloved class of 1959. She enjoyed her years as a flight attendant. She returned to her home in Jonesville to start a family. The last 22 years she has spent in her family’s mountain cabin near Sparta, NC. During these years she was an active member of the Sparta United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Stephen Ministry. She also blessed many people with her participation in “Clowns in Motion.” A graveside service will be held Wednesday May 31st at 3:00 pm Crestwood Memorial Gardens in State Road, NC.
