Mocksville- Mrs. Josephine Inez Holcomb McClannon, 91, of Pino Road passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born August 13, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Rovah and Mallie Pendry Holcomb. Mrs McClannon was retired from the Davie County School System as a Cafeteria Worker and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she attended when her health permitted. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John Harding McClannon, daughter Faye Cook, great-grandson, Anthony Shawn McClannon, sister-in-law, Nellie Holcomb and brother-in-law, Tony Swaim. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Judy (Willis) Trivette, Brenda Howell, 2 sons, Billy (Diana) McClannon, Eugene McClannon; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, J.C. Holcomb and Ralph (Betty) Holcomb; and 1 sister, Nellie Swaim. A graveside service for Mrs. McClannon will be 2:00 PM Sunday March 4, 2018 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Bobby Watts. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at The Lodge, 324 North Pino Road, Mocksville, NC 27028. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Yadkin Nursing Center and to Home Health for all their loving care of Mrs. McClannon.
