Joyce Wood Roberts

Roberts State Road – Joyce Rebecca Wood Roberts, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018.  She was born February 25, 1942 in Surry County to the late Joe and Betty Reece Wood.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arvil “Cotton” Roberts; brother, Franklin Wood.  Surviving are her sons, Terry Roberts, William Lee Roberts (Tara), Joey Dean Roberts; grandchildren, Susan Hargitt, Rebecca Roberts, Nikolas Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Caleb Jolly, Hunter Ayers, Lee Hayes; great grandchildren, Anthony, Raiden, Legan, Hannah, Austin, Dustin, Cody; sisters, Lona Marion, Betty Jo Carter (Bobby), Opal Horton, Lorene Taylor.  Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Bill Bates.  Burial will follow at Gospel Chapel Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Roberts family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
