Juanita Baker St. John

Jonesville Mrs. Juanita Baker St. John, 78, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. St. John was born August 31, 1939 in Surry County to Hilbert and Virginia Draughn Baker. She was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog Lulu. In addition to her parents, Mrs. St. John was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee St. John; a daughter, Melissa Lynn St. John; and a sister, Judith Rebecca Fields. She is survived by three daughters, Melinda Leigh St. John, Theressa (Lee) Mooney, and Bobbie Gail St. John (Kevin Blackburn); grandchildren, Emily Hope Pearson (Kris Johnson), Jesse Lee Mooney, Joseph Ryan (Jessica) Pearson, and Bailey Richard Pearson; one great grandchild, Brayden Kade Pearson; and one brother, Buddy Baker. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Wesley Mosteller officiating. Burial will follow at Swan Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Wednesday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 571021 Winston Salem, NC 27157.
