Judy Jones West

Mrs. Judy Jones West, 73, of Haywood Street, Clemmons, peacefully departed from this world on Sunday, February 4, 2024, surrounded by the warmth of her home. Born on January 28, 1951, in Forsyth County to the late Melvin Jones and Geraldine Edwards Jones, Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness.

 Judy dedicated a significant portion of her life to the community of Clemmons, where her infectious smile and welcoming nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her professional journey spanned over 24 years with Winn Dixie and another 24 years as a dedicated bookkeeper at Sheffield Financial. Judy's commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to Bible Baptist Church in Clemmons, where she found solace and fellowship.

 Her magnetic personality and genuine warmth allowed her to effortlessly build lasting friendships within the workplace, the church, and the broader Clemmons community. Judy never knew a stranger, was always smiling, and her ability to connect with others helped to enrich the lives of those around her.

 At the core of her being, Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend to all her family. Her joy was found in the company of her beloved husband, Billy Glenn West, who stood by her side throughout life's journey; and by her children, Gerri (Scott) Hicks, James (Lisa Knight) West, Mike (Barbara) West, and Jeff (Dee) West, each a testament to the love she poured into her family.

 Judy's love extended to her grandchildren, Cassidy Hicks, Reece Hicks, Dillon West, Casey West, Elizabeth Spriggs, and Dakota, her two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Colton; her brother, Don (Debbie) Jones, and together they all formed an unbreakable family foundation.

 Known for her nurturing spirit, Judy found joy in the simple moments spent with her family. Her home was filled with laughter, love, and the comforting presence of her two special dogs, Stella and Grumpy. Beyond her immediate family, Judy leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched the lives of numerous cousins and friends.

 In celebrating the life of Mrs. Judy Jones West, her family will gather to fellowship and receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bible Baptist Church, 6350 Styers Ferry Road, Clemmons, NC  27012.

 May we remember a woman whose compassion knew no bounds, whose laughter echoed through the halls of our hearts, and whose love continues to guide us. May her spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
