Judy Shore Zachary

Yadkinville – Judy Jordan Shore Zachary, 77, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was born February 25, 1947 in Davidson County, TN to the late Marvin Lee Shore and Marjorie Bennett Shore. Judy started her airline career in June of 1970 at Piedmont Airlines staying and transitioning through mergers and buyouts to US Air, US Airways and American Airlines, retiring in 2020 with 50 years of service. Judy lived a life well-traveled, finding joy in the journey and the people she met along the way. She loved to travel and was lucky to have seen most of the world. Her dedication to the airlines earned her numerous awards. She loved helping people get to their destination. Judy traveled more “air miles” than highway miles. Judy also enjoyed reading and spending time outdoors working in her flowers, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Rev. Norman Pardue helped lead her to Christ and also baptized Judy. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Shore. She is survived by her son, Richard “Richie” (Traci) Zachary; grandson, Troy Austin (Brittani) Zachary, and a future great grandson to be born in March, Baylor Lee Zachary; sisters, Mary Grace Shore and Sandra Shore; brothers, Lee (Shirley) Shore and Steve Shore; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Shore, Debbie Zachary Reavis, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Pastor Josh Williams. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to thank Sandra Shore, Debbie Zachary Reavis, Wendy Rockett, Ronnie and Reta Vestal, Lisa Moncus, Krista Shelton and Susie Hoots for all the love and care shown to Judy.
