Karen Caudle Reece

Mrs. Karen Louise Caudle Reece, age 72, of Boonville, NC, is at rest with her heavenly Father. Karen passed away on April 5, 2021. She was born on July 7, 1948 in Yadkin County to the late William Glen Caudle and Nellie Casstevens Caudle. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Caudle Pinnix and many special friends and family. Karen was a simple country girl who grew up working hard with her parents and sister and alongside her husband and children. She was a beautician for many years. Karen was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and Nana with unconditional love for all! She liked to cook and made sure her family had plenty to eat. There was always food on the table after a long day’s work and a delicious dessert to enjoy. Everyone who entered her home was always welcome and never left hungry. Karen enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church, reading, listening to gospel music and shopping with her daughter and granddaughters. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Larry William Reece, a son, Dwayne Reece and a daughter, Regina Reece Barney (Denny) and 3 grandchildren, Karra Reece, Laura Barney and Will Barney, along with several special family members and friends. Mrs. Reece will be available for viewing on Wednesday, April 7th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service, 5108 US HWY 601, Yadkinville, NC 27055. A graveside service will be held at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 3448 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Jason Penley and Robert Wiles will be officiating the graveside service. The Reece family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. Please follow all Covid guidelines by wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. The family would like to thank Karen’s many physicians and home health staff who have cared for her during her declining health, especially Dr. Neumark, his nurse, Crystal and the staff at Yadkin Valley Adult Medicine as well as the 5th floor cardiac unit at Forsyth Medical Center. Thank you to the many neighbors, friends and family who have sent cards, called, brought food and most of all prayed for Karen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 3448 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral of Yadkinville is serving the Reece family.
