Kate Arlene Bryant Parker Hutchens

Hutchens Yadkinville-  Mrs. Kate Arlene Bryant Parker Hutchens, 83, of Gospel Way Church Road passed away peacefully Thursday, August 09, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  She was born June 28, 1935 in Surry County to the late Dillard and Daisy Coe Bryant.  Mrs. Hutchens was a devoted homemaker, loved her hummingbirds and especially her cat, Cocoa.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Thad “Pete” Parker, Bobby Hutchens; her sons, Thad Parker, Jr., Earl Wayne Parker; Brothers & Sisters, Nellie Swaim, Claude Bryant, Vermel Parker, Betty Branon, Nancy and Rex Bryant; and sons-in-law, John Cranor and Todd Billings.  Surviving are her children, Donna Cranor, Renee Billings (Randy Davis), Jackie Hutchens; granddaughter, Spencer Ashley; sister, Lois Hutchens; and a special friend, Annis Whittington.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:30 PM Sunday in the Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery by Rev. Bill Hale.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC  27055.
