Katherine Hicks Cook

East Bend Ms. Katherine Hicks Cook, 92, passed away Monday, March 09, 2020 at her home. Ms. Cook was born October 23, 1927 in Carroll County, VA to Otis and Gertrude Hicks. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cook was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Newsom. She is survived by three children, Patty (Charles) Kennedy, Kathy (David) Taylor and Tim Cook; two grandchildren, Caleb and Whitney Taylor; and one sister, June Montgomery. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date for Ms. Cook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Cook family.
