Kathryn Tyree Kennedy

East Bend Kathryn Mae Tyree Kennedy, 67, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Kennedy was born November 19, 1953 in Wyoming County WV to Roncie Cleat and Edith Panell Tyree. She was a member of Salvation Assembly Church and was a prayer warrior for her friends and family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Dean Kennedy; a sister, Mary Ellen Tyree; and two brothers, Jack and Ronald Tyree. She is survived by her sons, James Fortner (Jeanette West), Brian Fortner (Ashley Irick), and Nathaniel Kennedy (Brittany Davis); daughters, Michelle Griffin and Jessica (Matthew) Windfelder; grandchildren, Kristan, Rachel, Aaron, Joshua, Hannah, Mary, Braylen, Paige, Hope, Kaelin, Skyler, Caleb, and Shealee; great grandchildren, Zoey, Harper, Bailee, Tobias, Chloe, Ellie, and Cayden; sisters, Brenda Scarberry, Phyllis Hash, Margaret Roberts, Janice Pennington, and Shirley Clitis; brothers, James, Roncie, Richard and Mason Tyree; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Monday, August 16, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend with Sister Rebecca Holt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G.
