Kay Brown

Kay Brown passed away February 23, 2023 at SECU Hospice House in Yadkinville. She was born in Surry County to the late Howard and Edith Brown on September 15, 1944. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Linda Driver, and her brother-in-law, Phillip Brown. She was a loving wife of 57 years to the love of her life, Randy Brown, and since his passing in May of 2022 has longed to reunite with him in Heaven and it is comforting to know that now she has. She also leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sons, Stephen (Robin) Brown and Daniel (Sandy) Brown; her grandsons Carson, Peyton, and Jackson Brown; her sisters Ella (Brent) Shaw and Patty (Mickey) Comer; sisters-in-law Johnsie (Russell) Nixon and Diana Brown; several nieces and nephews. Kay was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and knew that her love for the Lord would assure her that one glad day she would once again be reunited with them for an eternity in Heaven and how she must be rejoicing! A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 3:00PM at Mountain View Baptist Church with Pastor John Attaway and Pastor Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000 Boone, NC, 28607.
