Keith Scott Colston

Keith Scott Colston, 29 yrs old, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday August 13, 2021. Keith was born on February 6, 1992 in Yadkin County, NC. Keith was a former People to People Student Ambassador and graduate from Forbush High School in 2010. He studied History Education at Forsyth Technical Community College. He was a former land surveyor at EAS Professionals and chef/line cook at J Butler’s Bar and Grill. Keith had a love for music and singing, hanging out with his friends, video games, comic books, and fishing. Keith loved animals, especially his dogs Rocky, Slade Wilson, and Riley, and had wanted one day to run a Dog Rescue. Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Joyce Scott; Doris Colston; uncle Robert ‘Joe’ Colston; aunt Trisha Colston-Bell; and cousin Cody VanDunk. He is survived by parents Kevin and Lisa (Scott) Colston of East Bend, NC; one son, Gunner Lee Pritchard of Winston-Salem, NC; uncle Michael Scott and wife Pat of Lynco, WV; three aunts Denise Colston of Mullens, WV; Elsa Colston of Charleston, WV; Susan (Scott) Walker and husband Jack of Mullens, WV; cousins Mallory Walker, Samantha VanDunk, Kevin and Heather Hypes of Mullens, WV, Michael and Thomas Bell of Daniels, WV, Julie (Scott) Massey of Oceana, WV, Jessica Hypes of Charleston, WV, Joshua Hypes of Beckley, WV and Courtney Colston Rea of Myrtle Beach, SC. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Saturday August 28, 2021 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend 428 East Main Street, East Bend, NC 27018. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday August 28, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Stephen Evans. in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sound Mind PO Box 63 Lester, West Virginia 25865 or Hope Valley Inc PO Box 467 Dobson, North Carolina 27017. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Colston family.
