Yadkinville Mr. Kenan David James, 46, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 3, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Kenan was born May 18, 1974 in Forsyth County to Billie Edward James, Jr. and Myron Gail Hester. He was a member of Shallowford Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for several years. Kenan was a beloved teacher and coach at Forbush High School for 19 years, where he grew the soccer program and touched the lives of his students and players. Kenan was employed at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and owned his own business, Firm Foundation Home Inspections. In addition to his parents, Kenan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill James, Sr., Atwell Hester and Pauline Hester. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Dana Linville James; grandmother, Rachel James; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Dianne Linville; sisters, Kelly (Tony) Hall and Kristy (Randy) Dinkins; brothers, Kevin (Maryann) James and Kyle James; sister-in-law, Ginger (Neal) Hackworth; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Betty Jo Choplin and David & Rebecca Marcincavage. You may pay your respects for Mr. James, Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 11:00AM to 5:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A private service will be held at a later date.
