Boonville Mr. Kenneth Franklin Reece, 83, left his earthly home on Thursday, October 25, 2018 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth “Bossman” retired from Unifi after 24 ½ years and later retired from YVEDDI after 10 years. He loved farming, horses and mules, especially George and Judy. He was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church until his health prevented him from attending. He was a deacon and organized the ushers each Sunday. Kenneth was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Zettie Prim Reece; a sister, Ruby Caudle; and a brother, Harvey Reece. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 64 years, Opal Hodge Reece; daughter, Lynn (Tim) Wilson; son, Kenneth Franklin “Kenny” (Melissa) Reece, Jr.; granddaughters, Dawn (Josh) Casstevens and Carrie Ann Dobbins; honorary granddaughter, Haley Brown; great granddaughter, Reece Nicole Casstevens; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Eddy Driver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00PM, Saturday evening at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
