East Bend
Ms. Kerra Shawniece Hauser, 22, left this earth too soon on Friday, June 25, 2021. Kerra was born March 28, 1999 in Forsyth County to Kerry M. Phillips and Shawn D. Hauser.
Kerra was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kyrm Phillips; and a brother, Corey Brayboy. In addition to her parents, Kerra is survived by her daughter, Kari’onna Jarrett; siblings, Osric Reynolds (AnneMarie White), Shawn Hauser, Jr., Matthew Williams, Sierras Hauser, Kabrion Hauser, and Yvonne Johnson; grandparents, Martha Phillips and Sonny & Betty Hauser; aunts and uncles, Donna Martin, Renena Martin, Craig Martin, Ronald (Treva) Martin, Rod (Katrina) Phillips, and Antwon Hauser; a very special friend, Claire Brown; and special cousins, Dominic Martin, Deisha McBride, Deon (TJ) Martin, Chynna Martin, and Justin (Cheryl) Martin.
Kerra attended NPGF Church where she sang in the choir. She was a cheerleader all through school, and was a class of 2017 graduate of Forbush High School. After graduating Kerra worked at Surge Trampoline Park where she became the Party Host Coordinator/Manager. After her maternity leave, she transitioned into working as a Service Coordinator for Lowe’s Home Improvement’s Store Support Center. Kerra had a vivacious personality, and could naturally make people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went all of her co-workers, and customers loved her.
Kerra loved to travel to new places, and to experience life. The simplest things in life were what she loved the most. Whether it be taking the long way home or stopping at a yard sale. Kerra was very fond of elephants, mustangs, chocolate M&Ms, and the color lime green. She loved to love on people. She would leave selfies on your phone or write a note for you to find later on that would make you laugh, but also remind you of her love for you. She had a beautiful, and unforgettable one-of-a-kind smile. Kerra enjoyed spending time with family, and friends. There is no question how much she cherished every moment with her family. She was an amazingly dedicated mother to Kari’onna. No matter what she needed, Kerra would go above, and beyond to provide for her. Kerra treasured her mini me more than anything in this world.
While Kerra’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Her Mother Kerry Phillips invites the community to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 12:00PM, Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 12:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home and immediately following the service at the home of Donna Martin. The family requests masks to be worn.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Teresa Choplin.
