Korey Ethan Barber

Boonville – Korey Ethan Barber, 15, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born May 9, 2003 in Surry County to Candace Nicole Barber and Robert Paul Lopez.  Korey was fun loving and always had a smile on his face.  He was a member of Charity Baptist Church and a youth member; he was also an organ donor.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tammy Barber Waddell.  He is survived by his mother, Candace Barber; father, Robert (Ashley) Lopez; step-father’s, Michael Hoeflick, Roger Guyer Jr.; sister, Chancie Nicole Lopez; brother, Davin Creed Guyer; step-sister, Daya Guyer; step-brother, Xavier Weeks, Brayden Hoeflick; grandparents, Frank and Stacy Mauldin, Chris and Diane Anderson, Roger Guyer Sr., Larry and Willy Hoeflick; great grandparents, Donna Melton, Ruby Cox, LouAnn and Freddie Roberts, Linda Anderson; and several other family members.  His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Eddy Driver.  Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Barber family.  The family would like to thank Dr. Bobbi Hackman.  Online condolences can be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
