JonesvilleMrs. Kristi Michele Stanley Vanhoy, 56, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Vanhoy was born September 28, 1962 in Surry County to Charles Donald Stanley and the late Mary Byrd Stanley. She was a member of Heaven Bound Baptist Church. Her biggest enjoyment in life was her grandson Gavin “Toot”.In addition to her mother, Mrs. Vanhoy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Wayne Stanley and Michael Stanley; a nephew, Jason Spicer; and one great nephew, Ashton Spicer. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Donnie Vanhoy; two children, Bradley Vanhoy and Amber (Kevin) King; two grandchildren, Gavin King and Aiden Ellis; her father, Don (Dorothy) Stanley; one sister, Donna (Ronald) Spicer; one brother, Lanny (Brenda) Stanley; father-in-law, Frank Vanhoy; brother-in-law, Phillip Vanhoy (Stacey); sister-in-law, Shelby Ayers; K-9 companions, Charlie & Desi; two nephews, Timothy Stanley and Jarrett Vanhoy; and nieces, Emily Spicer, Shyann Vestal, and Kelsey (Justin) Crouse, and Amy Williams.A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Little Mountain Baptist Church in N. Wilkesboro with Rev. Jimmy Settle and Rev. Steven Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville.
