Kristie Gardner Smith

Kristie Gardner Smith, 40, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born October 31, 1977 in Yadkin County to her mother Kim Gardner Cain. She is preceded in death by grandfather John H. Gardner. Ms. Smith is survived by her son Dailan Blake Smith and his father Landon Smith; mother Kim Gardner Cain (Phil Hamby); sister Savannah Cain; grandmother Jessie Gardner. She was a member of Mountain Grove UMC. Kristie loved painting, spending time with friends, and more than anything loved being with her son Dailan. A celebration of life service will conducted Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Jesse Clubb and Rev. Claudia Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Dennyville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service. The family would like to thank the staff Forsyth Memorial Hospital 2nd floor ICU for their excellent care and Dr.’s John and Joanie Williams for the loving care throughout Kristie’s life.
