Krystal Leigh Echols Matthews

Krystal Leigh Echols Matthews, 41, passed away on April 21, 2024. She was born on July 14, 1982 in Forsyth County to the late Angela Echols Hinsdale. Krystal was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved her daughters immensely and enjoyed watching them play ball. She loved making people smile and enjoyed everyone’s company. Krystal was a mail carrier with the USPS where she loved her job and everyone on her mail route. She also really enjoyed lake days with her special friends, Don and Debbie. 

In addition to her mother, Krystal is preceded in death by her grandmother, Carolyn Ziglar Echols; grandfather, Ralph Justice Echols; great-grandfather, Guy Harper Echols; and great-grandmother, Vivian Lucile Echols. Krystal is survived by her daughters, Brooke Matthews and Kasey Matthews; a grandson; a brother, William Gray Hinsdale; a first cousin, Jessica Musgrave; as well as church family, special friends, and neighbors. 

A memorial service for Krystal will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
