Larry William Reece

Mr. Larry William Reece, age 75, of Boonville, NC, passed away on November 16, 2021. He was born on March 14, 1946 in Yadkin County, NC to the late William Henry Reece and Lethia Hutchens Reece. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Karen C. Recce, his brothers, Monroe (Lucy) Reece, Genie Reece and RV Reece and his sister, Betty (Roy) Caudle as well as many special family and friends.

Larry had his first job around 13. He milked cows, farmed, helped raise tobacco, worked part-time at RJR and drove a milk truck until his retirement. Larry believed in hard work and doing things the right way. Most of all, he loved to plant tomatoes in the summer time and made sure to share them with all of his family, friends and neighbors. He loved his grandchildren and taught each of them to drive. He enjoyed the simple things in life.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Regina Reece Barney (Denny) and Larry Dwayne Reece; his grandchildren, Karra Reece, Laura Barney and Will Barney; sisters, Violet Stanley, Eva Jones, Peggy (Claude) Wiseman and sister-in-law Betty Reece, along with several special nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Reece will be available for viewing on Friday, November 26^th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service, 5108 Us HWY 601, Yadkinville, NC 27055. A graveside service will be held at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 3448 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 27^th.  Jason Penley and Robert Wiles will be officiating the graveside service. The Reece family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. Please be mindful of all Covid guidelines by wearing a mask and practicing social distancing if needed.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Easton Smith as well as Kelly and Mike Welborn for checking on Larry. Thank you to the many neighbors, friends and family who have sent cards, called, brought food and most of all prayed for our family.
