Larry "Wayne" Sapp

East Bend Mr. Larry “Wayne” Sapp, Sr., 74, was called to heaven on Friday, July 29, 2022. Wayne was born March 24, 1948 in Forsyth County to Oscar and Mabel Carpenter Sapp. He enjoyed riding horses, camping at Mt. Rogers, and pulling wagons. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Sapp, Jr.; grandchildren, Samantha Sapp and McKanna Young; and brothers, Thomas Dancy and Don Sapp. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bonnie Jones Sapp; children, Tanya Young, Chad (Daisy) Pipes and Scott (Jennifer) Pipes; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at Peoples Church Cemetery in Mt. Airy with Pastor Jay Bonds officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00PM, prior to the graveside service at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Drive Mt. Suite 101 Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Well Care Hospice for the loving care given to Wayne.
