Laura Estelle Dezern Gregory

Gregory Hamptonville-  Mrs. Laura Estelle Dezern Gregory, 70, of Gregory Drive passed away peacefully Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Elkin Assisted Living.  She was born April 13, 1947 in Yadkin County to the late Leonard and Ruby Blevins Dezern.  Mrs. Gregory was a member of Old Fashion Gospel Baptist Church, and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family.  Her family was important to her, and she loved and cherished all of her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gray Gregory, and by her son, Michael Gregory.  Her children are the late Michael Gregory and his wife, Linda Gregory; Patricia Gregory, John Wayne Gregory all of Hamptonville; Harvey (Tracy) Gregory, Corinna Lynn Gregory all of Elkin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Faye (Ronnie), Mildred (Ray) Durham, all of Elkin; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Dezern, Harmony;  and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Her Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Gentry Family Chapel.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Elkin Assisted Living and Wake Forest Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Gregory Family.  Online condolences may be to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
