Lavonne Case Poindexter

Poindexter Jonesville – Vesta Lavonne Case Poindexter, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  She was born March 3, 1949 in Surry County to the late Mike Musick Case and Vesta Irene Ingool Case.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Leon Case.  Surviving is her husband, Michael J. Poindexter; sisters, Peggy (Kent) Steele, Dolores McClain; nieces, Cammy (Chris) Nicks, Teresa (Matt) Reece; nephews, Dustin (Stephanie) McClain, Casey McClain; great niece, Kristin Nicks; great nephews, Houston Nicks, Elliott Reece, Luke Reece; God-son, Cory (Emily) Rycroft.  Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Arlington First Baptist Church by the Rev. Matty Ponce de Leon.  Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Arlington First Baptist Church.
