Leroy Baity

Yadkinville Mr. Leroy Baity, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Willowbrook Nursing Center. Mr. Baity was born May 2, 1940 in Davie County to Javan and Nellie Bowles Baity. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baity was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Flora Elizabeth Cleary Baity; children, Mary (Bill) Barringer and Jay (Ronda) Baity; grandchildren, Billy Barringer, Dylan Hutchens, Amanda Baity, Elizabeth Baity, and Daniel Stewart; great grandchildren, Trent Aarhus, Jayce Creager, Lucas Barringer, and Walker Ligon; two brothers; and two sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with rev. Marvin Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Baity requested no flowers, but memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Baity family.
