Lester Vernon Brown

Lester Vernon Brown, 81, passed away Sunday February 17, 2019. He was born May 18, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Roy Brown and Lucille Hicks Brown. He is survives by many cousins. Mr. Brown was a member of Forbush Friends Church. He enjoyed working in his big yard, his horses, boating and fishing at his place at Lake Norman. He also was talented in music and playing the piano, guitar, and French harp along with a beautiful tenor voice. He was a graduate of East Bend High School and retired from Piedmont airlines as a metal mechanic in Winston-Salem. He always attended the Brown reunion which was held each year in October. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday February 22, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Jake Penley and Rev. Ray lamb .The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Friday February 22, 2019 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Forbush Friends Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of SECU Hospice Home of Yadkinville for the exceptional care given to Mr. Brown.
